Our Strategic Space Systems Communications team is seeking a Photographer to join their team in Redondo Beach, CA.  This position is located in Redondo Beach CA.

More about the job:

  • You’ll report to the Multimedia Manager and join a team tasked with generating content to promote employee engagement, events, business achievements, and content generation.
  • You’ll work with a cross-functional team to support strategic campaigns that inform, inspire, and engage demographically and geographically diverse audiences, some of whom are difficult to reach.
  • You’ll operate a variety of standard and special-purpose still, motion picture, and/or video cameras in support of customer/company requirements.
  • You’ll coordinate and direct the execution of creative photographic assignments for a variety of requirements including, but not limited to, manufacturing documentation, site support, portraiture, internal and external communications , and event support.
  • You’re a little bit (or a lot bit) of a nerd, and you love all things related to space exploration, national security space technologies and science.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in Photography, Video, or other creative field with 3+ years of experience with photography, film, videography, or a combination of the above – OR – 1+ years of experience as outlined above with Master-level degree from accredited university.  An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in Photography, Video, or other creative field with 6+ years of experience with photography, film, videography, or a combination of the above – OR – 4+ years of experience as outlined above with Master-level degree from accredited university.  An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

Additional Basic qualifications for both levels:

  • Possess a high level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) accesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS-SCI clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Experience utilizing basic business and creative software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere).
  • Experience executing high level projects with specific outcomes and deadlines.
  • Aerospace and Defense experience.

Salary Range: $63,800 USD - $95,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
