Salary: £75,000 - £108,000

Role clearance type: Post-holder must hold and maintain UK Government clearances where required.

About Your Opportunity:


As a Principal Cyber Engineer within our Active Cyber account, you will lead at the forefront of technical innovation and acting as a role model for our junior engineers to aspire to.

Using your broad experience you will lead delivery of successful technically complex software projects, by being hands on and guiding a multi-disciplined and skilled team. Furthermore, you will concurrently champion your specific areas of expertise in workforce development and wider third-party assurance of critically important operational projects delivered by your colleagues and peers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership across the Cyber Engineering Workforce.

  • Informing and influencing customer’s technical strategic decisions.

  • Providing technical guidance to business development bids realising our UK strategy.

  • Internal assurance, ensuring commonality of technologies and validating our QA/QC processes.

  • Successful hands on delivery of high-assurance complex software and/or AWS cloud projects.


Your Experience:

  • Proficiency across a variety of languages. Our main focus remains on C++, C and Python, however, demonstrable aptitude to adapt to new languages is welcomed.

  • In-depth experience of leading agile software development teams, embracing DevSecOps to enable high assurance deliverables maximising the utility of well-defined CI/CD pipelines.

  • Eagerness to tackle complex integration issues when faced with legacy or black box systems, using your problem solving ability and experience to deliver sustainable solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management to retain open dialogue with customers and assist in informing/influencing project trajectory and milestones.

  • Demonstrable agility, where you are keen to continue developing yourself in areas outside of your comfort zone.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of modern desktop or mobile operating system internals.

  • Experience in embedded systems and RF communications . If you have experience in these areas, we are eager to hear from you.

  • AWS cloud certifications, having delivered secure and assured networked solutions.

  •  Previous experience working with the UK Government and/or MOD.
