Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Flight Systems Team. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade level offered will be based on candidate experience.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The selected candidate will report to the Air Vehicle (AVE) Design Integration lead and is responsible for artifact development for all AVE electrical interfaces. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Vehicle level power management

• Managing signal integrity

• Signal to noise calculations

• Work with signal types including RS 422, ethernet, and LVDS

• Manage electrical interface characteristics

• Develop vehicle block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and cables

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years of experience; 0 years with Master’s Degree

Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master’s Degree; 0 years with PhD

• Knowledge of electrical design principles

• Experience with signal integrity analysis (noise floor evaluation and calculation, signal to noise calculation, signal types RS 422, ethernet, LVDS etc.)

• Must have US Citizenship with an Active DoD Secret clearance or higher, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years

• Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)  as a condition of continued employment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Siemens Capital cable design tool or equivalent

• Familiarity with performing electrical analysis in MATLAB or equivalent

• Experience with “clean-sheet” new design.

• Demonstrates ability to communication (written and verbal) internal and external to include email, presentations, and face to face interactions.

• Ability to organize work and manage competing work priorities.

• Experience working effectively in a team environment of 5+ members, utilizing strong interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $73,400 USD - $110,000 USD

Salary Range 2: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
