Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer in support of the Sentinel program.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.  This position is located in Roy, Utah.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Lead the preparation, execution, and closure of major HWIL test bed design reviews at both the component and lab levels, including System Functional, System Requirements, and Preliminary Design Reviews
• Determine design review entrance/exit criteria definition, content review, readiness status, and action closure
• Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and oversee the generation and maintenance of SysML and DoDAF models in Cameo for the HWIL test bed
• Interface with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers and specialty engineers to capture HWIL structure and behavior using accurate DoDAF/SysML representations
• Drive the execution and closure of specific systems engineering issues relating to requirements compliance, standardization of processes, achieving technical program metric performance, mass allocations, test environment definition, and lab limitations
• Develop architecture governance, definition, and processes
• Ensure architecture is consistent with requirements decomposition
• Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 7 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 Years with PhD
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• 2+ years of MBSE experience
• Experience integrating requirements, performance and interface, into MBSE tools
• Experience writing system requirements
• Experience modeling system functional architectures

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of launch vehicle and/or strategic missiles
• Experience translating a statement of work into executable tasking
• Customer interface and negotiation skills
• Experience working with subcontractors
• Experience with systems engineering artifacts often involved in design lifecycle (SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR/FCA/PCA)
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, Jira, Confluence, and or CPLM would be beneficial but may not be used daily
• Top Secret Clearance
• Cameo experience
• DOORS or related experience

Salary Range: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
