Job Description

The Digital Products Department (part of NG Strategic Space Systems) in Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a talented Engineer Digital 3 - Unit Verification Engineer. This person will be required to test and integrate complex digital hardware and support test systems for spacecraft flight programs.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced digital design engineer who has worked on the verification and validation of a space digital unit containing multiple digital boards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Unit level requirements development, management, and flow down, and coordination with system engineering

  • Generation of verification and test plans for digital board and units

  • Generation of verification artifacts necessary to sell off space hardware

  • Lead unit verification efforts, test-set requirements development, environmental testing definition

  • Support subsystem level Integration & test

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM from an accredited institution and 5+ years of experience in an Engineering environment; OR, a minimum of 3+ years of experience with a STEM Master's degree; OR STEM PhD. Degree

  • Previous experience in the verification of digital hardware for Aerospace applications

  • Hands-on lab experience with electronic hardware

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital board/unit verification

  • Experience with engineering support to manufacturing including hardware troubleshooting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution

Salary Range: $115,200 USD - $172,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
