Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for Digital Engineer to join our team based out of Orlando, FL location.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  • Determines design approaches and parameters.
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  • Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • May also review vendor capability to support product development.
  • We seek degreed electrical or computer engineering engineers with hands-on experience in FPGA Design and Verification with VHDL.

Basic Qualifications Staff Digital Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 15 years of experience OR 13 years of experience with Master's degree OR 19 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance with last investigation within the past 5 years.
  • Experience with VHDL design or verification
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools: Xilinx ISE/ Vivado, Altera Quartus, ModelSim/QuestaSim.
  • Experience with board or system level debug as well as reading and interpreting electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BSCE)
  • Experience with very high speed interfaces
  • Experience with high speed memory such as DDR4, NVMe (PCIe)
  • Experience with high speed communications using transceivers/SerDes, familiarity with SRIO, SerialLite, Aurora, etc
  • Experience with developing FPGA requirements and be able to show traceability to requirements and technical references.
  • Familiar with multilayer board design, signal integrity, and communication systems
  • Experience with scripting languages in support of development environment configuration and execution.
  • Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems (SELinux a plus)
  • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and Networking

Salary Range: $148,200 USD - $222,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
