Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a successful candidate to fill an experienced Field Service Representative within the Mission Systems IPT to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Sacramento, CA with responsibilities including (but not limited to) integrating and testing software/hardware systems in complex IT systems. The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working closely with other engineers and technicians in a lab-like environment.  The candidate will be supporting a program where application of extensive technical expertise will be required to support a developing system. 

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Electronics Engineer level or Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications (Principal Electronics Engineer):
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline with 5 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related experience.
• An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (start date contingent upon program access)
• Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
• Demonstrated experience with VmWare
• Security+ Certificate for administrators
• This position requires up to 10% travel

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline with 9 years of related experience OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of related experience 
• An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (start date contingent upon program access)
• Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
• Demonstrated experience with VmWare
• Security+ Certificate for administrators
• This position requires up to 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications:
• Special Program Access
• Mission Planning experience
• Previous experience with existing system
• Ability to maintain system configurations
• Provide expert software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users.
• Train end-users.
• Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
• Ability to develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts
• Ability to develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts
• Ability to develop and maintain Microsoft Group Policies
• Familiarity with storage systems and basic networking
• Familiarity with Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM
• Familiarity Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory
• Familiarity VMware ESXi, VMware vCenter
• Ability to author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update procedures
• Ability to document and maintain system configurations
• Ability to provide engineering technical support for peer teams
• Ability to engineer and Test new technical solutions in lab environments
• Ability to design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures
• Ability to maintain COTS Hardware and Software configuration matrix
• Ability to script deployments of Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation operating systems
• Ability to script deployments of Solaris 10 and 11 operating systems
• Ability to automate installation of COTS software
• Ability to engineer solutions to address new technical requirements and/or bug fixes
• Ability to implement engineering changes to the system as required
• Ability to maintain compatibility with existing architectures when implementing system enhancements
• Ability to release CM controlled documentation, scripts, and COTS software media


Salary Range: $96,600 USD - $145,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $119,800 USD - $179,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
