Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Logistics & Modernization organization performing System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Analysis. Candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and verifying subsystem R&M performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that R&M program requirements are achieved.

Essential Functions:

The selected candidate’s primary responsibility will be reliability, maintainability, and testability. Other duties include:

  • Perform R&M allocations and predictions
  • Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis
  • Perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
  • Develop mission reliability analysis
  • Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
  • Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystems

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Electrical Engineer level (T01) or Electrical Engineer level (T02).

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Electrical Engineer:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in an Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
  • Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Electrical Engineer

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of Electrical engineering experience
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Pay Range:

  • Associate Electrical Engineer $58,800 to $88,200
  • Electrical Engineer $71,100 to $106,700

Salary Range: $52,500 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
