Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal RF Sensors Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. 

Candidate must demonstrate technical understanding in the field of RF spectrum operations as well as knowledge of other related disciplines. The candidate should have effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings.

The RF Sensors Engineer in this role will be responsible for one or more of the following:

•             Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints

•             Provide supplier oversight and support to work with Global Supply Chain as they interface with supplier SMEs

•             Oversee hardware and software integration, verification and test

•             Review supplier SDRLs and ensure on time responses

•             Perform technical evaluations of proposals

•             Support subsystem performance analysis

•             Interface with customer and program leadership

•             Provide inputs to IPT on team progress and status

•             Develop change board packages as needed and brief to program leadership

Basic Qualifications:

For – Sr. Principal RF Sensors Engineer (T04):

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of experience OR Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of experience OR 4 years’ experience with PhD for T04.

• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

• Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum

• Experience with Antenna testing and analysis

• Experience in Electronic Warfare

• Experience with sensor providers/suppliers

• Experience with Electromagnetics modeling

• Experience with DOORs

• Experience with CPLM/NX

• Experience in the military aerospace development environment.

• Experience with DoD Acquisition principles

Salary Range: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
