This position entails the management and leadership for a team of Manufacturing Engineers, including Process and Test Engineers, in a dynamic and growing environment, to develop and maintain manufacturing capability used in the production of airborne, military-grade or space-grade Radio Frequency (RF) Transmitters, Microwave Power Modules (MPMs) and Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs). The leader will oversee and guide Process Engineers in developing and maintaining manual assembly processes involving the processing and joining of precision ceramic and metal components via braze and adhesive joints. The leader will oversee and guide the Test Engineers in developing and maintaining wideband RF test hardware and software.  The entire Manufacturing Engineering team will support continuous process improvement through analysis of defects and cost drivers, fault isolation and corrective action.  This leader will foster a trusting and collaborative environment enabling the team to maximize its effectiveness. Additional responsibilities include multi-year strategic planning, proposal development, project management, cost account management and capital project planning and execution. 

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with a minimum of 9 years relevant experience; or MS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with a minimum years relevant experience. 

- This individual will have very strong leadership skills with the ability to be assertive while respectful and to collaborate skillfully across functional organizations

- This individual will be able to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment

- This individual will be an extremely effective written and verbal communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors

- This individual will have relevant experience in manufacturing or design.

- This individual will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Power Point

- This individual will be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

- This individual will have the ability to read and understand product drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the electronics manufacturing with specific focus in manufacturing process or test engineering for military grade hardware

- Demonstrated experience in design and development of Radio Frequency test equipment

- Training and certification in Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools 

- Experience with SAP ERP software

- Expertise in a Manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience running a work cell, engineering group, or technical projects.

- Working knowledge of product flow (development through production)

- Success in leading and developing people

- Active DoD Security Clearance

- Experience in the use and application of National Instruments LabVIEW programming environment

- Experience in the use and application of National Instruments LabWindows/CVI programming environment

Salary Range: $141,100 USD - $211,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
