Northrop Grumman is looking for a RF or Targeting Electrical Manager in Hardware Engineering within the Mission Systems Sector that will play a key role in the mission to protect our military personnel. The Hardware Engineering organization is dedicated to consistently providing high quality product designs in support of multiple product areas. The Radio Frequency (RF) Business Unit Electrical team provides concept-to-production development, test, and integration for all types of digital, analog, RF, and power hardware that support architectures for RF or Targeting systems.

The RF or Targeting Electrical manager will oversee a group of engineers performing electronic hardware design at the circuit, subsystem, and/or system level for advanced product development, involving translation of customer requirements into hardware requirements as well as test and integration of hardware subsystems and components.

Responsibilities include the ability to oversee project execution, maintain staffing across multiple programs, monitor and improve design processes, provide collaboration internal and external to the Hardware Engineering (HWE) organization, as well as development of the engineering staff.

The RF or Targeting Electrical manager will have previous, relevant experience in Analog, Digital, Mechanical, Power and/or RF engineering including test and integration in a production environment. The candidate should also be familiar with one or more of the other related disciplines, such as systems, software, and the above listed disciplines. The RF or Targeting Electrical manager will have developed strong communication and leadership skills in order to lead teams and represent the organization as a prime point of contact for the RF or Targeting Electronic Warfare (RFEW) Systems on specific programs.

This position can be filled at the Manager 1 or 2 level:

Basic Qualifications for EE Manager 1:

  • BS degree in Engineering / Physics and minimum 6 years relevant experience; or MS degree in Engineering / Physics with minimum 4 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating, and developing cross functional teams on complex technical projects.
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for EE Manager 2:

  • BS degree in Engineering / Physics and minimum 9+ years relevant experience; or MS degree in Engineering / Physics with minimum of 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating, and developing cross functional teams on complex technical projects.
  • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in Engineering / Physics / Engineering Management.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare systems/hardware.
  • Prior success in leading and developing a strong technical staff.
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement initiatives, including process metrics tracking and execution of process improvement/development projects.
  • Current Security Clearance - Secret

Salary Range: $117,600 USD - $176,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $141,100 USD - $211,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
