We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal /Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer based out of Sunnyvale, CA. As a Principal /Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll Get to Do:

We are seeking a motivated Principal /Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join a dedicated, highly engaged engineering team.  You will have the opportunity to support a variety of unique electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Expert use of standard electrical lab equipment – Oscilloscope, DMM, IR tester (or similar).
  • Build custom lab test equipment, solder and wire test boards, troubleshoot and repair current builds.
  • High voltage testing.
  • Update and develop new test equipment.
  • Develop and update test procedures.
  • Manage and analyze test data.
  • Manage flow of hardware to be tested within the facility.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Degree with 5 years of experience; or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience using electrical lab equipment.
  • Experience soldering and wiring test boards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing current builds.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Degree with 9 years of experience; or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Degree with 7 years of experience; or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related STEM Degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience using electrical lab equipment.
  • Experience soldering and wiring test boards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing current builds.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active Secret Clearance.
  • DoD experience.

Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
