Join the NG Sunnyvale Production support team as a WCO/PLM Project Lead where you will help build innovative, best practice applications in CI, OTD, SRR and employee engagement. Your responsibilities include working with the business team members at the Sector and site level.  You must be able to work with cross-functional teams within the business groups. You must be able to operate with minimal directions with on-time results. This is a lead engineer role with exciting opportunities for learning that will also leverage your management, leadership, and interpersonal skills as you work with other team members.

WCO (World Class Operations) and PLM Teamcenter Lead

Our group is responsible for implementing and managing innovative applications World Class Operations (WCO) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The Northrop Grumman Sunnyvale Production Support Group is looking for an Engineer who has proven experience implementing and coordinating World Class Operations as well as experience working on Siemens Teamcenter suite of applications. The  focus is on ‘Teamcenter Coordinated Material Management’ to help design, develop and support high-quality enterprise software solutions to manage regulatory compliance of NG Products. The lead will be responsible for developing a WCO and PLM route map for our site. In this role, you will be partnering with multi-functional teams across NG to lead activities within managerial and technical pillars. The lead will be the driver of the continuous improvement agenda and provide leadership to the departments and pillar leaders.  We are looking for a highly motivated, meticulous, hands-on technical individual with excellent communication skills.

Specific areas of responsibility include:
 

  • Leading a team to drive the design, development and deployment of key WCO and PLM applications.
  • Communicating with Sector and site management teams on a regular basis.
  • Ability to assess new technologies and determine solution for possible site implementation

This position can be filled at a level Principal Manufacturing Engineer or Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer.

Basic Qualifications Principal Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience; Master’s with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Strong Project Leadership, Continuous Improvement, and Communication Skills
  • Able to work/coordinate with multiple teams.  Experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to optimally multi-task and support multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (US Citizenship).

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with 9+ years of experience; Master’s with 7+ years’ experience.
  • Strong Project Leadership, Continuous Improvement, and Communication Skills
  • Able to work/coordinate with multiple teams.  Experience leading and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to optimally multi-task and support multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (US Citizenship).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and developing WCO in a multi-site organization.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise-level Teamcenter 10.1.6.1 or 13.2 solutions.
  • Ability to plan application roadmap based on Team center product roadmap; identify business requirements and map them to Teamcenter capabilities
  • Experience with WCO as it relates to CI, OTD, SRR and increased employee engagement.
  • Ability to plan site roadmap based on WCO Sector rollout; identify business requirements and map them to WCO capabilities.
  • Drive progress in all WCO pillars and track/monitor KPI progress regularly.
  • Lead efforts to increase WCO training opportunities within the plant.
  • Exposure to machining, welding and assembly processes.


Salary Range: $95,000 USD - $142,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $117,700 USD - $176,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
