We are looking for you to join our team as a Hardware Manager 1/2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA. What You’ll get to Do:
- Manage/Oversee the engineering design, development, and transition to production of hardware subsystems used in inertial navigation systems.
- Develop and implement strong processes with emphasis on quantitative management and continuous improvement.
- Provide management guidance to achieve outstanding cost, schedule and technical performance.
- Responsible for technical guidance and oversight in developing technical and cost proposals.
- Interface with business focused discipline leads to coordinate staffing requirements and ensure proper skill mix to support program activities
- Mentor and challenge team members to develop skills and provide Career planning/development paths.
- Responsible for all manager related activities to include, but not limited to: Conduct performance and salary reviews, approve timecards, and work closely with HR on elevated employee matters.

Basic Qualifications for a Hardware Manager Level 1:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience. PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.- A proven track record of leading a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program Offices.
- Experience leading a team on a technical development effort or technical production support.
- Experience in sensor development.
- Experience with generating and/or reviewing cost estimates/basis of estimates (BOEs).
- Must be able to obtain a US Gov’t issued Secret clearance within a timeframe set forth by management; US Citizenship is required.

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with 9 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience. PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.
- A proven track record of leading a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program Offices.
- Experience managing a team on a technical development effort or technical production support
- Experience in sensor development
- Experience with generating and/or reviewing cost estimates/basis of estimates (BOEs).
- Must be able to obtain a US Gov’t issued Secret clearance within a timeframe set forth by management; US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a technical field with 7 years of experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment or PHD with 3 years of experience.
- Technical project management with budget experience.
- Experience in bid and proposal development.
- Experience managing a team on a technical development effort or technical production support as a Principal Investigator and presenting to customers regarding program status.
- Knowledge of engineering planning, scheduling, metrics, earned value systems, and workload forecasting.
- Experience with development of quantum sensors, primarily atomic clocks.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
