Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer.  This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems in Clearfield, UT. 

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Production Engineering (PE&O) organization.

The selected candidate will design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.  Other duties include:

  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Basic Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Manufacturing Engineer level or a Manufacturing Engineer level.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Manufacturing Engineer

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Start date is contingent and will be confirmed once clearance is granted.

Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Engineer

  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Start date is contingent and will be confirmed once clearance is granted.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Pay Range:

  • Associate Manufacturing Engineer: $53,500.00 to $80,300.00
  • Manufacturing Engineer: $64,600.00 to $97,000.00

Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
