Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer and a Principal Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to provide support to our Global Supply Chain team in our Clearfield, Utah location.
  • Function as the primary technical point of contact for the supply base for assigned programs to address supplier manufacturing issues.  This includes working with suppliers to develop possible new manufacturing techniques, implement design changes for manufacturability, and aiding the suppliers to determine root cause for technical issues.
  • Manage supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process
  •  On-site resolution of technical issues for Procurement and Subcontracts at Domestic suppliers
  • Support/lead supplier manufacturing capability qualifications and supplier capacity assessments
  • Supplier Proposal Support (Technical Evaluations, spares requirements, labor hours estimate, parts obsolescence and supplier capability)

Basic Qualifications:

Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3)

  • 5 years experience with Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math); 3 years with Master's Degree in a STEM field; PhD in a STEM field.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARs and terms and conditions
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business
  • Ability to obtain a special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business

Manufacturing Engineer (Level 4)

  • 9 years experience with Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math); 7 years with Master's Degree in a STEM field; 4 years with PhD in a STEM field.
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARs and terms and conditions
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business
  • Ability to obtain a special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Solid understanding of engineering/technical requirements.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to support team environment and build strong team
  • Aircraft and/or composite manufacturing experience

Salary Range: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $101,600 USD - $152,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
