Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Logistics Engineer Systems. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

The selected candidate will be part of the Logistics Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis team.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for supporting tasking of the Logistics Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis team including cost, reliability, and availability analysis.
  • Analyze and simulate performance metrics to monitor the Sentinel weapon system through test and sustainment.
  • Perform logistics related analysis and maintenance planning of the Sentinel platform.
  • Influence system design to enhance supportability and utilize engineering data from various sources to determine logistics requirements.
  • Leverages significant utilization of Monte Carlo analysis methods, applied statistic distributions, cost predictions, cost optimization calculations, and other mathematical model methodologies. 
  • Responsible in helping grow the team, present material to internal and external leadership, and help plan the remaining tasks on the Sentinel program related to cost, availability, and reliability centered maintenance.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5 years’ experience; 3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree; or 0 years’ experience with a PhD 
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance  
  • 1+ year experience working logistics activities on a large program
  • 5+ years’ experience in industry, or 3 years’ experience with Master’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, and/or Optimization.
  • Development and/or application of analytic methodologies to predict or calculate metrics.
  • Software scripting experience to automate analytics (python, ruby, C++, VBA, etc.)
  • SQL Server Relational Database development and utilization.
  • Experience on a Model Based Systems Engineering activity / program.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning Cameo.
  • Experience performing weapon system Availability calculations.
  • Experience performing Life Cycle Cost calculations.

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
