Staff Engineer Industrial

Northrop Grumman, Global Operations, has an opening for a Staff Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of Northrop Grumman's primary campuses; a hybrid work schedule may be considered. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Provide strong Industrial engineering leadership, mentorship, and expertise for other organizational members, cross functional teams, and projects.

• Analyze large data sets and existing operational processes to make recommendations for efficiencies. 

• Analyze and make recommendations for acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and equipment. 

• Assist facilities strategy team with assessments.

• Assist with digital tool recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 14 years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline plus 12 years of engineering experience or a PhD with 9 years experience.

• Proven strategic thinking ability.

• Experience in interacting with stakeholders and customers.

• Experience building relationship building with peers.

• Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to work independently and within groups.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation.

• Experience in using shop floor production systems (Solumina, MES, etc.)

• Experience in using ERP systems such as SAP.

• Experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (VSM, Kaizen) and Agile project management.

• The selected candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company and also by customer and/or program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Capacity and scheduling simulation experience.

• Experience with data science and analytic software.

• Report programming experience.

• Experience working in a robust IPT environment.

This position reports to Falls Church, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 5 locations listed above.

Salary Range: $126,100 USD - $219,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
