Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Industrial Engineer. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Dulles, VA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Operation Solutions & Support team.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support in implementation of manufacturing digital transformation initiatives/solutions to align with sector and enterprise DTO strategies

  • Support manufacturing leadership team by working proactively with cross-functional teams to analyze various process / areas for system integration and automation

  • Leads and drives positive change using iterative and Agile methodologies

  • Develop Principles and Operating Practices (PrOP) for new processes and solutions

  • Assist in training and development for employees of new solutions

  • Document and resolve design and adoption issues, concerns, unique features from each deployment / work center areas

  • Assist in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track adoption of solutions, efficacy

  • Creates new metrics and interactive data visualizations to track and report solution adoption issues and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 1 year experience in related experience

  • Expertise using excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables.

  • Experience with data analysis, or data visualization software applications

  • Experience with Agile methods of project management or development.

  • Critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools in Kaizen and lean principles

  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, or other task tracking and collaboration tools.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience designing visualizations in Tableau/Power BI in a professional work environment.

  • Experience with SQL, Python, HTML, VBA, JavaScript, or other programming languages.


Salary Range: $63,800 USD - $95,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
