The Principal Mission Assurance Engineer defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes (specifically related to Parts, Materials, and Process requirements) to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks and determines resources to ensure mission assurance. Audits supplier product and processes to internal and Northrop Grumman customer requirements. Works with engineering to ensure product delivered is compliant with requirements.  May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

Basic Qualifications:

5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with (Mission Assurance Provisions) and Part/Material/Process requirements

2. Experience with external supplier management

a. Verification of requirement flow down

b. Critical process identification

c. Ability to understand engineering technical concerns

3. Ability to translate customer concerns into workable solution with the supplier

Salary Range: $82,000 USD - $123,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
