Northrop Grumman Mission System's Navigation and Cockpit Systems BU in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) team, reporting to the SPM site lead.

This position is instrumental in driving the supply base to provide consistency high quality parts to support our customers. Tasks include:

  • Act as POC on program teams by coordinating supplier performance management plan implementation through all program phases.
  • Review supplier quality history and drive activities to improve performance through partnership, Return-to-green plans, SCAR's, CAR's, etc.
  • Analyzes data for Mission Assurance critical action board.
  • Liaison to (FSQE) Field supplier quality engineers for program related actions and information.
  • Make decision utilizing supplier quality risk appraisal tools.
  • Assists with program cost estimate development related to supplier quality activities.
  • Participates in customer and regulatory on-site quality audits.
  • Provides input to critical supplier scorecards.
  • Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience.

To be successful in this position, the candidate should possess the following characteristics:

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority of personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.
  • SAP experience.
  • Risk and opportunity management experience.

Salary Range: $77,100 USD - $115,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
