Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has a need for a Mission Plan Analysis engineer to support the Triton program. This role is a hybrid position located in Rancho Bernardo, CA and would require up to 10% travel in support of program needs.
The selected candidate’s primary task will be flight plan mission analysis for the Triton Unmanned Air Vehicle.
This position can be filled at either the Engineer or Principal Engineer level.
Essential Functions:
Flight plan mission analysis for the Triton Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Program using 6DOF simulation and various route checking tools.
Work with mission planners to develop routing.
He/she will have sufficient multi-disciplinary knowledge to direct or mentor subordinate personnel on the Triton mission.
He/she will serve as technical spokesman for mission analysis with customers, including preparation and presentation of technical briefings.
He/she may be called upon to support proposal preparation efforts and new project activities, including responsibility for project technical aspects, cost, schedule, and reviews.
Basic Qualifications for Engineer:
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant industry experience or 0 years' experience with a Masters STEM degree
Candidate must have excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Basic Qualifications for Principal Engineer:
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or 3 years' experience with a Masters STEM degree or 0 years' experience with a PhD
Candidate must have excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
Knowledge of GIS Software and GIS techniques
Knowledge of Relational Databases (such as MSSQL or MySQL)
Knowledge of Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python
Knowledge of flight sciences, control law development, and control system analysis
Interest in UAV's
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
