Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter.  Come be a part of our mission!

We are looking for you to join our team as an R&D Navigation Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. Our success is grounded in our ability to embrace change, move quickly and continuously drive innovation.  The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.

What You’ll get to Do:

Candidate would be responsible for all aspects of design for government and internally funded sensor research and development projects. He/she would develop high accuracy and low noise sensor, inertial navigation, and GPS electronics from concept to working, performance-testable hardware, with the efficiency that R&D inherently requires. Typical responsibilities in a typical project design cycle include system architecture and trade studies, analog and digital simulation, VHDL and C coding, schematic capture and PCB layout, oversight of board fab and assembly, and lab testing and optimization. The candidate will have access to the deep technical expertise around them, but will be responsible for implementing the design down to the very details of the analog design, board layout, and firmware/logicware. Job duties are more project oriented, and less divided by skillset, so the candidate needs to be proficient at switching hats depending on the stage of the design.

This position description does not represent a current opening but may be used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions within Northrop Grumman that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.
