In 2017, Northrop Grumman Australia was awarded a contract to perform the acquisition, construction and support of the second satellite ground station in the east of Australia. The contract will also deliver an integrated wideband SATCOM network management system to improve robustness, capacity and efficiency of the ADF SATCOM capability.

As part of our program’s maturity and growth, we are seeking a Software Engineer to drive and implement the systems engineering activities within an Agile project environment.

About the role:

Working closely with our US colleagues, you will be supporting the software development team across the full spectrum of software engineering related tasks, including DevSecOps software environments. This will include building and testing software prototypes and products as well as integrating locally developed products with world-leading international software product lines.

This role will then transition into the support of the software in-service, including troubleshooting and fixing bugs, evaluating software change requests, and supporting operations for a critical capability for the ADF.

This position can be based at our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane or our Symonston Office in Canberra.

About you:

You come from a software engineering background with experience in Agile Scrum leadership roles.

Ideally, you will have technical experience across DevOps tools and processes, modern UI frameworks, .Net applications and testing frameworks

Lastly, you are an Australian citizen with a Government security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
