Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch Vehicles Division – Chandler, AZ has a current opening for a Software Engineer II or Principal Software Engineer III

This is a dual level requisition could be filled at a level II or III

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs simulator and ground software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.
• This will include the development of software requirements and design models as well as participation in software process activities such as peer reviews, integration testing, and configuration management.​

Minimum Qualification for Software Engineer II:

BS and 2 Years, Masters and 0 Years

Position is full time onsite

Must have the ability to obtain or an active and current Secret Clearance

Minimum Qualification for Principal Software Engineer III:

BS and 5 Years, Masters and 3 Years

Position is full time onsite

Must have the ability to obtain or an active and current Secret Clearance

Preference with experience involving

• Object Oriented (OO) software development experience with the C++ programming language
• Experience with real time operating systems (RTOS) environments including VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS or other equivalent RTOS

Salary Range: $73,400 USD - $110,000 USD

Salary Range 2: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
