We have an opening for a Senior Principal Software Systems Engineer to join our qualified, diverse team. We are seeking a team member who wants to solve interesting, complex problems to help protect our nation. We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. The team you will support is located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.

What you’ll get to do?

In this role, you will act as a Software Systems Engineer (SWSE) which is embedded with the SW Development team and develops the SW design using SW architecture models (Cameo MBSE toolset). The SWSE is a stakeholder in the Agile SW Development process and participates in daily Scrums. The SWSE is also responsible for ensuring the software is designed according to SW requirements (in DOORS) and the requirements are linked to the architecture model. The SWSE is also responsible for development of SW verification plans for SWCI qualification.   

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 9 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of related experience

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile development

• Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers

• Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database

• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts

• Excellent technical writing and team building skills

• Understanding of Software development principles

• Ability to develop algorithms to guide software development

Salary Range: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
