We have an opening for a Manager Software Engineering 2 position in the Software Engineering function for our Space Park location. This is a dual role encompassing both functional management and technical performance within our various programs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Technical contributor or manager in a program role / functional oversight for a team of software engineers of varied disciplines
• Staffing and workload forecast; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs
• Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, performance management and contract maintenance for contractors working in the business area as required

• Demonstrate success collaborating and leading virtually as a part of a geographically dispersed team

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related software experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of stated experience
• DoD Secret Clearance, and the ability to obtain a TS Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current employee working within the GES or MCS OU at Space Park
• Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty
• Active TS Clearance

Salary Range: $147,800 USD - $221,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
