Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer - DevSecOps to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are working with the leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro).

Essential Functions:

• Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
• Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
• Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
• Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
• Develops and recommends corrective actions.
• May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD; or 13 years of related experience in lieu of the degree will be considered.
• Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
• Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell
• Experience with automation
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
• Applicants must have a current active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level which is required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
• Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD - Experience with Nexus
• Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware
• Understanding of HP server configuration
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8 570.01-M IAT Level II Certification
• Candidates with an understanding of software development life cycle.
• Experience with Agile methodology.

Salary Range: $117,900 USD - $176,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
