We are looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer to support the Threat Products and Services (TPS) product line of the DE Task Order on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program. The job location is at Schriever AFB , CO.

Position requires a software engineer experienced in software development to support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems. Candidate will design, develop, test, document and integrate simulation products for the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) organization using Java, C++ and/or C# programming languages on Windows and Linux operating systems. Primary responsibilities include designing and developing software. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with TMC customers and presenting technical briefings to TMC stakeholders.

This role requires candidates to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline, 2 years related experience; 0 Years with Masters
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related discipline, 5 years related experience; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Must be proficient in software development using C++, C# Java or similar programming language
  • Must have a basic understanding of Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Experience using GIT or other version control systems
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance before starting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Linux KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine)
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. 
  • Experience in Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA and Confluence)
  • Knowledge of software design patterns.
  • Knowledge/experience in modeling and simulation development.
  • Currently have DoD Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
