Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Engineer DevOps – Sr DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer (24-290) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Essential Functions:
- Experience with containers and container orchestration tools.
- Experience with infrastructure automation in support of COTS or custom-built applications.
- Experience with at least one commercial cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google).
- Experience with the Radiant Mercury Cross Domain Solution (CDS)
- Experience with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).
- Existing Security Clearance Designing, deploying, and maintaining large engineering COTS applications (ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems, CAD/PLM tools) in secure, air-gapped environments. Specifically with regard to hardening deployments (DISA STIGs and SRGs).
- Experience implementing new and complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level.
- Experience with IS auditing and investigations.
- Knowledgeable of operating system security requirements.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard Information Assurance tools.
- Experience with developing, reviewing, and maintaining RMF artifacts
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
- 14 years with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field; 12 years with a Master’s degree in a related field; OR 18 years experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must be familiar with Linux Fundamentals and basic scripting.
- Basic understanding of type 1 encryption and IPSEC tunnel.
- Mut be familiar with the application and benchmarking of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), as well as at least one compliance framework (RMF, PCI-DSS, CMMC, DFARS, etc).
- Experience with at least one or more languages: Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Python, .NET, JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with ICD 503/JSIG and DAAPAM.
