We are looking for you to join our team as a Software DevOps Engineer based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.  As a Software DevOps Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Job Requirements:

- Deploy CI/CD frameworks that automate code generation, builds, testing at both the unit and system test levels, releases and documentation.

- Deploying the solutions in cloud and virtualized environments.

- Developing back end environments for storing testing data and results

- Developing web-based front end dashboard applications for reporting and analysis.

- Maintaining dependency management and container environments

- Work in a fast paced Agile type environment

This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal level:

Basic Qualifications for Principal DevOps Engineer:

-  Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5+ years of experience; 3+ years of experience with Master's Degree or in lieu of degree an additional 4+ years of experience is required.

-Experience maintaining internet facing production grade applications in virtualized environments such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google Cloud Platform

-Experience writing scripts in one or more languages such as Python, Java Go and/or similar

-Experience working with technical customers

-Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins).

- Familiarity with languages: C/C++, Python, DML and Simics.

- Familiarity with Operating Systems: VxWorks and ability to develop/debug RTOS drivers.

- Automated Validation and Verification Experience (Unit Tests, Integration Tests, etc.)

- “Full-stack” (willing to work at multiple different layers of the product/testing ecosystem)

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum Methodologies

- US Citizen and must have Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.  Once started, must have the ability to obtain and maintain active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience working with scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)

-Understanding of open source server software (NGINX, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch)

-Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.


Salary Range: $99,800 USD - $149,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $123,800 USD - $185,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
