Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems - 2Is Solutions, a software development group delivering tools and analytical models supporting supply chain management, forecasting, logistics, and pricing analytics, is seeking a motivated candidate with exceptional communication skills to join our Customer Success team as a Product Specialist. The Product Specialist will liaise between software customers/users and the software development and data modeling & analytics teams. The Product Specialist will become an expert in the group’s products in order to educate customers/users on how to optimally configure and use them. They will also coach customers/users in interpreting the analytic output. The Product Specialist will utilize their expert knowledge of the software and understanding of customer needs to advocate for improving user experience and the customer’s success with the tools. This individual must feel comfortable communicating directly with users and speaking in front of small and large groups. The ideal candidate has a technical aptitude and an interest in software. This individual should be a creative problem solver who is interested in advancing software and business development efforts.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with software users and customer contacts.
  • Collaborate with the software development and data modeling & analytics teams to design products that meet users’ needs and desires.
  • Address customer concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a log of all user feedback, incidents, defects, and feature requests.
  • Organize and deliver customer trainings on use of software applications & interpretation of background algorithms and modeling output.
  • Collaborate with content team to prepare training materials prior to customer training sessions.
  • Educate & coach customers/users on optimal configuration of software to meet their needs.
  • Deliver product demos to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate product documentation and marketing collateral as required.

Basic Qualifications – Level 1

  • A bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, arts, information technology, or 4-years experience in related field in lieu of degree 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Basic Qualifications – Level 2

  • Have 2 years' experience with Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years relevant job experience in related field in lieu of degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications – Level 1: 

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and principles
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations
  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and principles

Preferred Qualifications – Level 2: 

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and principles

Salary Range: $56,300 USD - $84,500 USD
Salary Range 2: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
