Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks a talented professional to join the engineering team in Dayton, OH as a Software Engineer.

What you’ll get to do: Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with other teams (Integration & Verification, etc.) in the planning, design, development, and utilization of data processing systems for products solving our customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

- For a Software Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Software engineering or similar field with 2 + years of software development experience; 0 years with a Master's;

- For a Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor’s degree in Software engineering or similar field with 5 + years of software development experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD;

- Active DoD Secret Clearance

- Web development and testing (Angular, typescript preferred; javascript acceptable

- Software application development: C++ preferred, java or other languages acceptable

- Sustainment skills such as discrepancy fixes and new features to support future missions

- Agile development style

- Program is designed to as multiple small projects: candidate should show ability to develop new skills and move between different software, design, testing activities

- SW configuration management such as GIT

- Operating system experience with windows or Linux; both preferred

o Active TS/SCI clearance

o Browsers (Chrome/Firefox)

o IDL

o Cmake

o Docker

o Microsoft Visual Studio/Microsoft Visual Studio Code o GCC/Clang

o Experience with development on Windows and Linux

Salary Range: $22,200 USD - $115,800 USD

Salary Range 2: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
