Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer OR Senior Principal Software Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK.  The successful candidate will be assigned to develop and deliver software products for various classified programs.


This position involves maintaining current implementation of software pipeline automation, configuration, and execution, as well as integration of new capabilities as required and metrics generation. It will require being able to pick up new tools and technology quickly, knowledge of software development processes, and knowledge of software testing.

This position may be filled at either the Principal Software Engineer OR Senior Principal Software Engineer level.

Basic Requirements for Principal Software Engineer:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 5 years of Software engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience.
• Basic C++ OR Python knowledge

• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance

• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR). PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Basic Requirements for Senior Principal Software Engineer:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 9 years of Software engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field with 7 years of Software engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field with 4 years of experience.
• C++ OR Python knowledge

• Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance

• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR). PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.



These positions require reliable means to get to work on time every workday - taxis or ridesharing services not permitted. Worksite is not readily accessible by public transportation.


Salary Range: $85,600 USD - $128,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $106,200 USD - $159,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
