Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced engineer for the role of MBSE Systems Engineer for Sentinel Program in our Chandler, AZ office.


In this role the selected candidate will be responsible for systems engineering activities and artifact development in support of system verification. The Sentinel Program is currently in the Detailed Design and Integration portion of the System Lifecycle where configuration items are finalizing component development and preparing to undergo qualification testing.  The selected candidates will support requirements management activities, SysML Model Management, and verification documentation activities throughout this process in support of flight testing in 2025 and beyond. 

 
Sentinel Systems Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Management of System Requirements from the Element Level to the Component Level in DOORS
  • Management of the System Architecture Model within the DoDAF Framework in Cameo EA
  • Partnering with Responsible Engineers on Configuration Item Development
  • Requirement Verification
  • Minimum job Requirements:  
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active Secret clearance is required for this position
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skill 

Principal Systems Engineer

  • Principal Requires BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years related experience, Master’s Degree with 3 years of related experience or PhD with 0 years of experience. 
  • Minimum 3+ years of Systems Engineering Experience

Sr Principal Systems Engineer

  • Sr Principal Requires BS in Engineering with a minimum of 9 years related experience, master’s degree with 7 years of related experience or PhD with 4 years of experience. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of Systems Engineering Experience
  • Preferred Experience: 
  • A strong experienced-based and academic foundation in Systems Engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with Northrop Grumman Space Systems LVBU Systems Engineering standards/guidelines and expectations
  • Experience with external customer interfacing (meetings, presentation, negotiation)
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Experience with Cameo
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $112,000 USD - $168,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
