Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Zombie Systems Engineering Team in our Chandler, AZ office. The Zombie program provides low-cost ballistic missile targets and launch vehicles for a range of applications.

The Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer will work on the Zombie family of targets requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary and multi-division environment

Role Description & Responsibilities:

• The candidate should possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system level launch vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system level verification/data review activities.
• Regular interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers is expected.
• The candidate is expected to solicit, negotiate, track, and verify mission requirements are met through design, test, or analysis.
• The candidate should possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously.
• Presents and prepares materials for presentation during System Requirement Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 years experience with Masters; 0 years experience with PhD.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to travel is required
• Strong oral and written communication skill 

• Active Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
