Job Summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for a Sr. Principal Integration & Test employee to be part of our Integration (Build) and Test team in Launch Vehicles at our Chandler, AZ facility.

 

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will provide integration and test support to engineers and managers on one or more programs at Launch Vehicles, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with sensitive launch vehicle flight hardware and ground support equipment. The candidate may be expected to help develop, plan and/or perform integration and testing activities associated with the assembly of flight hardware, testing of assembled systems and components, or execution/support of live fire tests (static and/or flight) at various facilities or launch ranges. Specific duties may include:

• Hands-on integration or testing
• Developing/maintaining procedures
• Incorporating hardware/tooling design changes
• Developing/planning/coordinating integration activities
• Coordinating with suppliers and procurement office
• Creating digital/physical mockups and tools
• Complying with strict aerospace standards
• Supporting live fire static testing and flight test events

 

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum Education / Experience: 9 Years with Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology (or similar 4-year technology degree)
• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel
• Candidate must currently have ACTIVE DoD Secret level security clearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to large customer community
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude
• Ability to solve problems, support troubleshooting efforts, drive tasks to completion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams
• Ability to travel: Travel expectation 25%
• Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines
• Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations
• Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems
• Knowledge and experience with CAD software and GD&T
• Experience working with design, integration, or testing of launch vehicles
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification
• Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace background
• Extensive experience with aerospace standards/guidelines
• Extensive experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations
• Extensive experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems
• Extensive experience working with design, integration, or testing of launch vehicles
• Significant hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience
• Technician experience

Salary Range: $92,400 USD - $138,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
