The Tactical Space Systems I&T Electrical Engineering organization seeks to fill an Electronics Engineering Manager 2 position for our Gilbert, AZ, location. This is a dual-role position encompassing both functional management and technical performance supporting current programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.

Responsibilities include:

  

  • Perform resource planning and staffing to meet program demands.
  • Provides employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development. .
  • Develops the team's capabilities in Operation Excellence, Software Scripting, Test Engineering and Implementation of Process Improvements
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading technical teams.
  • Provides Leadership for the technical direction of the Electrical Test Area for Satellite Integration and Test
  • Ensures the communication of the project or product status and path forward is clear and provided to all stakeholders
  • Leads the effort to improve the New Product Introduction Product Lifecycle – early involvement with the development team
  • Coordinates with Program Management, Development Engineering, Operation Areas, and Manufacturing Management to ensure plans are created and resolution of technical issues
  • Technical Contributor and Process Implementation Lead as part of the Gilbert Engineering Management Team
  • Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, and schedule for Electrical Engineering statements of work.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Acts with agility to business needs and interact in a collaborative way to motivate diverse, cross-functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarification.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications Engineering Manager 2:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 7+ years of experience in Test and Integration OR Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of experience in Test and Integration.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  

  • Master’s Degree in STEM discipline.
  • Experience working in a Test Engineering Environment
  • Experience with Python, Perl, Bash, and LabVIEW
  • Strong orientation to change in a dynamic test environment
  • Aerospace Industry Experience
  • Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence.

Salary Range: $130,000 USD - $180,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
