Northrop Grumman Space Division designs, builds, and delivers space, defense, and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) designs, manufactures, and operates small and medium-class spacecraft for communications , imaging, scientific exploration, and national security space applications. The Group is a leading supplier of space components that power and enable satellites of all classes, provides technical engineering services to government agencies and laboratories, and is developing exciting new satellite servicing and advanced space flight technologies.Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division is seeking to fill multiple satellite Integration & Test (I&T) Program Manager positions in support of the Integration & Test (I&T) organization located in Gilbert, Arizona.Successful candidates will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. She/He will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics, integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.Roles & Responsibilities for the I&T Program Manager Role:
  • Responsible for the complete integration and test effort for a spacecraft or product line
  • Creates and fosters a "One-team" approach leading and managing day-to-day activities to achieve customer mission requirements, on-time and on-budget
  • Creates and communicates the I&T plan and schedule for all assembly, integration, and testing activities to include integration with the launch vehicle (offsite)
  • Serves as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for I&T activities on the program
  • Leads and Coordinates mechanical, electrical, radio frequency, propulsion, harness and quality assurance resources and activities on a given vehicle/program
  • Coordinates shared facility utilization for Test Planning
  • Develops and maintains the Test and Integration Master Plan
  • Performs short- and long-term planning and schedule maintenance
  • Interfaces with customers, program offices, and launch vehicle providers
  • Reviews and approves engineering products to ensure manufacturability
  • Supports all review boards, tiger teams, RCCA investigations, deep dives, and pre-milestone reviews
  • Serves on and participates in program PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR’s
  • Provides Problem Solving Expertise and mentors the team
  • Support Metrics for Quality, Schedule, Cost and Productivity for the I&T Production Area to include Continuous Process Improvement
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in Science Degree with 9 years of experience, OR 7 years of experience with a Master's degree
  • 2+ years minimum in Space system/Satellites industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working within Integration & Test organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation experience
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in Science Degree in any of the STEM disciplines
  • 9 years minimum in Aerospace/Satellites industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Extensive experience within Integration & Test organizations
  • Familiarity/experience with CAM roles & Responsibilities
  • Experience leading cross-functional organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation experience
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance

Salary Range: $100,000 USD - $124,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
