Role Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking an individual who will work on the AAR47 system in a cross functional team in order to support production and repair needs. They will be performing test and troubleshooting in order to find cause of failures and disposition a path forward to get the system to a working state. Troubleshooting will involve system level as well as lower level assemblies in order to understand the root cause of the failures. This role will also involves working with management in order to put forth any changes and improvements towards performance and processes.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test and Evaluation Engineering department, Advanced Weapons division in Northridge, CA.


Job Responsibilities:
-Creating, validating, and verifying test plan, procedures and test reports

-Develop solutions to test issues and troubleshooting.

-Proficient in the use of Logic Analyzers, Software Based Debugging tools, In-Circuit Emulators, RF Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators

-Use different applications in order to help perform analysis

-Perform tests by following ATPs or technical memos to perform evaluations.

- Work with internal and external customers to define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning including acquisition, processing, and analysis to satisfy test objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

-Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment

-Experience using Microsoft Office

-Able to work independently with minimal direction and act as team lead for larger test efforts

-Experience in system integration, qualification test and requirements tracking

-Digital and analog circuit troubleshooting

-Previous work on DoD military development and production programs

-Experience with some of the MIL-STD-810 environmental test methods

-Knowledge of Ethernet networks, switches, and network attached storage

-Knowledge in environmental stress screening procedures

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with using different test equipment, i.e. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMM, signal generator, power supplies

-Able to obtain a Secret clearance

-Able to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings


Salary Range: $95,000 USD - $142,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
