This is a multi-functional position with diverse development and technical responsibilities requires expert knowledge in information technology systems security, software, hardware, cloud, and server-client suites and networking because they are directly responsible for an organization's cybersecurity initiative and technical operation.  Cyber Architect shall provide and perform technical oversight for the integration, network alignment, network security management of laboratory computing assets and special test equipment. The successful candidate will interface with lab system design and integration, and must be familiar with Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) 5002.02, DoDI 8500,and DoDI 8510;1 8510.01 Risk management Framework engineering disciplines, and have strong verbal and written skills necessary to successfully communicate and manage customers’ expectations.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Active Management and  of CISCO network switches and routing
  • Active Management and Use of VMware Virtualization Data Center configurations
  • Working Development and use Kubernetes architecture to maintain Lab Architecture
  • Active Management  of Windows workstations and servers ( Win7, Win10, and Win2016/2019 )
  • Active Management of Linux (RHEL/CENTOS) 7/8 servers and workstations in a production environment
  • Active Analysis & Implementation of Security controls on Windows and Linux Servers and workstations
  • Provide On call, 24/7 pager support during critical phases of testing, contingency operations and off-site as required
  • Shall provide direct support to the SIL CM Process, Laboratory design & offsite laboratory development and buildup for various efforts

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a principal or a Sr. Principal level"

Principal Computer Test Engineer

  • Minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree; or 0 years of relevant experience with a PHD.

Sr Principal Computer Test Engineer

  • Minimum of (9) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree; or 2 years of relevant experience with a PHD.

Both Principal and Sr Principal Level

  • Minimum of 5 years administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5/6/7/8 servers and workstations
  • Minimum of 5 years installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux server applications ( i.e. Samba, NFS, Chrony, Web servers, Databases )
  • Working knowledge of managing and maintaining GPO variables Extensive experience in the deployment of I&T lab environments
  • Proven ability to Task and Resource manage in order to meet program milestone 
  • Experience using Compliance and Remediation tools ( i.e. Nessus, SCC SCAP scanner, STIG Viewer ) 

Must be familiar with Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) 5002.02, DoDI 8500,and DoDI 8510;1 8510.01 Risk management Framework engineering disciplines, and have strong verbal and written skills necessary to successfully communicate and manage customers’ expectations.

Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:

  • (Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years / OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years / OR Dept. of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Active SCI Clearance
  • Experience administrating laboratory asset databases 
  • Meets DOD IAT requirements for security certs or be in the process of obtaining one. (i.e.  Security+ certification)
  • Thorough understanding of computer networking and general communication of OS configurations, Network switches, Firewalls to various Special Test Equipment (STE) 
  • Experienced in the implementation of CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security Controls on Linux and Windows operating systems ( i.e. Windows SHB and RHEL SSG builds )
  • Extensive experience installing, configuring, and operating VMWare and KVM virtualization environments
  • Advanced knowledge building, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems hardware ( i.e. Workstations, Servers, Storage Appliances, network switches, rack & stack )
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps tools and practices ( i.e. Configuration Management, Atlassian Tool Suite, etc. )
  • Advanced working experience with scripting languages and automation, such as bash, Ansible, and/or Powershell
  • Extensive experienced with SAN/NAS hardware ( i.e Netapp, Linux and Windows file servers, storage appliances )
  • Proven experience working with vendors in the identification of new hardware/software technologies to meet program requirements
  • Adept at Performing Backups and Disk Restores using COTS and /or self-written and developed applications/tools’ to implement a disaster recovery plan ( Windows, Solaris, CentOS, Linux )
  • (ATP), Quality Assurance auditing for Class-3 FOE facilities. 

Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $139,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
