We have an opening for a Digital Architecture Lead to join our qualified, diverse team in Redondo Beach, CA.

What you’ll get to do?

The individual will support the Digital Architecture Lead and will be used to analyze the system design and enable technical trades to be performed at various levels.  Generate Digital Engineering artifacts to inform, define, and run engineering processes and to present data for technical cost, schedule, and performance.  This project will heavily emphasize state-of-the-art Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), maintaining all requirements, descriptive models, analytical models, cost models, and management and support functions in one common, integrated suite of MBSE tools. 

Job duties include:  refining MBSE standards, style guides, and conventions; coordinating  MBSE infrastructure development; assisting MBSE change management and version control; communicating MBSE processes among teams, organizations, and management; creating and maintaining SysML models in Cameo EA; liaising with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers, specialty engineers, and management to capture structure and behavior using accurate SysML representations according to OMG standards.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5 Years with BS STEM Degree; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cameo
  • Experience with UPDM/DODAF and SysML
  • Experience with MilSatCom, and Ground C2 systems.
  • Experience with MBSE on System of Systems
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and MBSE in an Agile environment
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance


Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
