Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

The selected candidates will lead the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) effort for either the NATO RQ-4 portfolio, or the TRMC portfolio, holding overall responsibility for SE&I execution reporting directly to the RQ-4 Enterprise SE&I IPT Lead. Each lead will provide senior SE oversight and direction to customer, creating a single point of content for the area for status and responsibility.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and lead a team SE&I engineers and managers across R&V, Integration, Specialty, and Integrated Functional Capability disciplines.
  • Manage and oversee Systems Engineering execution of the overall cost, schedule, and technical baseline for the respective program.
  • Extensive interface and coordination with program management, customer counterparts, and sub-contractors.
  • Lead and oversee successful milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, FCA).
  • Lead successful requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, and final verification across a complex system.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to decompose and define customer CONOPs, Performance Specifications, and Use Cases/OpsCon scenarios into robust, verifiable requirements at the System and Segment Level.
  • Perform Risk and Opportunity management.
  • Lead and prepare proposals and baseline planning for new activities.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies which will enable rapid capability insertion and reduce time to field Implement tools, technologies, and procedure to enable more efficient integration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering or science and 9 years of related experience or 7 years with a Masters
  • Previous Experience leading Milestone Reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, FCA)
  • Previous Experience in Leading execution of multiple simultaneous programs
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ individuals in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in a STEM Field
  • DOORS experience with an emphasis on requirements management and metrics generation
  • Previous Control Account Manager experience on Earned Value programs
  • Previous Experience in managing Technical Baselines (Functional and Allocated Baselines)
  • Experience with interfaces ICDs
  • Experience in developing proposals
  • Experience managing suppliers
  • Experience in Agile Development
  • Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs
  • Experience working on US Air Force Programs
  • Experience working on FMS or Export controlled programs
  • Active TS/SCI


Salary Range: $176,100 USD - $264,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
