Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
This Role can be fulfilled at either the Systems Engineer Level or the Principal Systems Engineer Level
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer is a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience OR a Masters' Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
- Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer is a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience OR a Masters' Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 3 years' experience, or a PhD with 0 years' of relevant experience
- Experience in integrating hardware and software in a lab environment as well as interface management
- Experience in at least one aspect of aerospace Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, requirements verification and requirements management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to maintain program special access
- Familiarity with JIRA software tool (and/or similar) for issue tracking and resolution
- Experience in software development, including interfacing with systems engineering and integration and test
- Experience in Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) process
- Strong leadership, excellent communication, and strong presentation skills
- Familiarity and understanding of system requirements (validation and verification) and interface control documents (ICDs), and statements of work (SOW)
- Experience with USAF programs
- Experience with International or FMS customers
