We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Systems Engineer based out of San Jose, CA.

What you’ll get to do:

Get to work on projects in partnership with our Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD), an industry-leading provider for prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed energy and electronics solutions for national security, military, and civil customers.

Multiple roles are available throughout the product development life-cycle of these programs with emphasis in any ONE of the following disciplines:

• Space Segment/ Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development

• Design Integration

• Mass Properties

• Alignments/ Sensor  Analysis/ Sensor Accommodations

• Payload Accommodation and Integration

• Fault Management

• Testbeds/Vehicle Simulators

• Launch Systems Integration

• Requirements and Verification

• Specification Development

• Interface Definition

• Functional Analysis

• Configuration Data Management

• Related Processes and Tools Development

Available positions require that the candidate have a strong understanding of one or more of the skills described. Project roles span all phases from new business acquisition, and IRAD/ technology development to established programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 7+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience

• Must have an active Top Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain SCI clearance before starting

• Must have experience in at least ONE of the following disciplines:

- Space Segment/ Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Design, and Architecture Development

-Design Integration

-Mass Properties

-Alignments/ Sensor  Analysis/ Sensor Accommodations

-Payload Accommodation and Integration

-Fault Management

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering

• Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft systems

• Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements

• Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering

• Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration

• Experience using DOORS, Cameo

• Strong people skills

• Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)

Salary Range: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
