Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Test (NKW Test Lead) for their Aurora, CO location. The individuals applying for this position need to be highly motivated with extensive experience in the areas of system integration and test, software troubleshooting, creating and running test procedures, and development support. The primary responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:  

- Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints

- Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules

- Coordinates integrated testing activities; reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure compliance with policies and procedures

- Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations

- Create and perform comprehensive test procedures that meet stringent customer requirements

- Generate/respond to comprehensive discrepancy reports; continuous follow-up coordination with developers to solve complex problems associated with real-time processing software

- Perform configuration item through system level testing of COTS and software baselines

- Perform software installation and checkout in support of development, integration and testing efforts

- Maintain continuous awareness of test string configuration; interact with system and software engineering to resolve issues

- Provide technical support and training to customer personnel

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD.  An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Current/Active Top Secret clearance and SSBI
  • Working knowledge of GALE and ASA
  • Experience analyzing system level requirements
  • Experience working with system engineering and development to implement planning through design and system integration
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Current Security Plus certification
  • Ability to coordinate across program disciplines/teams and with users and suppliers
  • Ability to decompose/deconstruct large, complex problems in components and envision their interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight
  • Work multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good familiarity with ORACLE and UNIX/LINUX operating systems


Salary Range: $109,100 USD - $163,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
