The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) Sensor Specific Processing (SSP) Team. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements being made in the missile defense industry. FORGE SSP is a software application hosted on the Governments FORGE framework used to process legacy Space Based Infrared Sensor (SBIRS) data.

The position is located in Boulder, CO – Boulder is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and only 25 miles from downtown Denver.

Position Overview: Serve as a Model Based Systems Engineer and Systems Liason between multiple software and systems Agile scrum teams. Translate diagrams into CAMEO - translate inputs from chief engineering org, systems, and software teams into the modeling space. Ensure MBSE CAMEO model is ahead of software design and execution. Ability/interest in analysis and performance testing is a plus.

   

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

∙ Conducts performance analysis efforts of a missile tracking and prediction system
∙ Collaboratively and independently develop analysis approach for a variety of scenarios
∙ Work proactively in an Agile environment  
∙ Analysis tool development (Python & Matlab)

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer:

Basic Qualifications

Must have a Secret clearance and ability to maintain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility

∙Very familiar with modeling in Cameo (MBSE)

∙Strong communication/collaboration skills

∙Prior exposure to working in an Agile environment

∙Familiar with PythonV3

Level 2 - STEM Degree Required: Bachelor's and 2+ years of related experience; 0 years of related experience with a Masters

Preferred Qualifications

∙ Experience with performance analysis

∙ Experience with requirements decomposition and modeling complex software systems

∙ Familiarity with the Missile Defense System
∙ Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared

∙ Linux experience
∙ Python or Matlab experience

∙ Ability to travel on occasion to Northrop Grumman and customer locations


Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
