As a Test Engineer, you will be developing and sustaining systems using current technologies and others yet to come. We are seeking team members who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems. Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Support the software development team focused on DEVSECOPS solutions
  • Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Assist the team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions
  • Participate in, prepare, and execute comprehensive system/element-level test plans and procedures
  • Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews
  • Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
  • Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
  • Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing
  • Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate
  • Participate in project technical risk analysis and mitigation

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 Years of systems and/or test engineering experience with a Bachelors-STEM; 0 Years of systems and/or test engineering experience with a Masters-STEM
  • Must have Active/Current/Interim Secret level security clearance or higher to be considered**
  • Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
  • Familiarity or experience with test automation
  • Experience in using a requirements management tool, such as DOORS
  • Experience in using a discrepancy management tool, such as Jira
  • Familiarity or experience with continuous integration and deployment environments and tools such as Bamboo
  • Familiarity or experience with version control tools such as Bitbucket
  • Familiarity or experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security + Certification
  • Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
  • Experience in writing scripts using scripting languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, Python, Perl, bash, tcl, etc.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This facility can also accommodate a hybrid working environment with Monday and Friday worked remote.

Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
