Our growing team in CO Springs, Colorado has a new opportunity available for Engineer Systems or Principal Engineer Systems. This is an exciting time to join our PGS team! If you’re passionate about your craft and are interested in learning new technologies, then this position if for you! Given the nature of the work, telecommuting is not available. We do however, offer relocation assistance.  

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy to make recommendations on project tailoring, participate in and document project activities

  • Perform both technical and non-technical assessments of requirements and work with functional area personnel to develop design to remediate those requirements

  • This position is primarily focused on the Operations & Sustainment of several interconnected networks: however, knowledge of the System Engineering processes, Agile development, and DevOps is essential for mission success

This position can be filled at a level 3 or 4 based on the basic qualifications below.

This position is normally Monday through Friday and may require on-call, evening, and weekend support during system anomalies or mission requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s + 2 years of experience in a relevant STEM discipline.

  • Level 3: Bachelor’s + 5 years of experience in a relevant STEM discipline or 2 years with a Masters; 0 with PhD

  • TS/SCI Clearance required to start and the the willingness to obtain and maintain a Polygraph

  • Experience with Agile development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Office Products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Polygraph

  • Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical

  • managers and customers

  • Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and

  • externally) in support of requirements development

  • Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment

  • Security + or another DoD 8570 approved certification


Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
