Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer - Integration to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

Essential Functions:

• Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
• Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
• Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Basic Qualifications:

If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.

• An active Secret clearance is required.
• 5 Years with Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 9 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) within 60 days of hire.
• Windows, Linux skills in system administration and/or integration.
• Skills in developing integration plans/procedures from sources such as functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities.
• Experience in monitoring the integration of test resources, execute these detailed integration procedures, analyze integration results, and present the results orally and in written format.
• Experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The ability to get a Top Secret clearance or have a current Top Secret clearance is desired.
• Network architecture and device knowledge and scripting skills for data mining and formatted display of data
• Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience with operational systems (e.g. Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g. GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages.
• Practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology.
• Experience within the Mission Defense realm and previous test and integration.

Salary Range: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
